La patiente, en provenance du d\u00e9partement de <strong>V\u00e9lingara<\/strong>, est prise en charge depuis trois jours au Centre hospitalier r\u00e9gional de Kolda (CHRK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019information a \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9e ce jeudi par le directeur de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement, <strong>Dr Makhan Danfakha<\/strong>, apr\u00e8s r\u00e9ception des r\u00e9sultats d\u2019analyses effectu\u00e9es par l\u2019<strong>Institut Pasteur de Dakar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un premier cas dans un contexte \u00e9pid\u00e9mique national<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette notification intervient alors que le S\u00e9n\u00e9gal fait face \u00e0 une r\u00e9surgence de la dipht\u00e9rie. Selon les donn\u00e9es sanitaires cit\u00e9es par les autorit\u00e9s, <strong>57 cas confirm\u00e9s et 8 d\u00e9c\u00e8s<\/strong> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s au niveau national.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Avant-hier, nous avons eu une confirmation de cas au niveau de la r\u00e9gion de Kolda. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un patient qui nous provient de V\u00e9lingara. C\u2019est une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie de dipht\u00e9rie actuellement en cours au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Dr Makhan Danfakha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019apparition de ce premier cas confirm\u00e9 \u00e0 Kolda appelle donc \u00e0 une <strong>vigilance accrue<\/strong>, notamment dans le d\u00e9partement de V\u00e9lingara, d\u2019o\u00f9 provient la patiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quels sympt\u00f4mes doivent alerter ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La dipht\u00e9rie est une infection bact\u00e9rienne potentiellement grave et transmissible. Elle peut notamment se manifester par des <strong>maux de gorge, des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 avaler et l\u2019apparition de membranes blanch\u00e2tres au niveau de la gorge et des amygdales<\/strong>. Dans les formes s\u00e9v\u00e8res, des complications respiratoires ou cardiaques peuvent survenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Face \u00e0 tout sympt\u00f4me suspect, les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires recommandent de <strong>consulter rapidement une structure de sant\u00e9<\/strong> afin de permettre un diagnostic et une prise en charge appropri\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La pr\u00e9vention au c\u0153ur de la riposte<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le directeur du CHRK appelle \u00e9galement au renforcement des mesures de pr\u00e9vention.
